We’re in need of a confident Verification Engineer to help our design teams define, plan and oversee test strategies for new and existing products. You will help us Identify and resolve blockers affecting testing and effectively communicate progress of testing to different stakeholders.

Our Automated Storage & Retrieval Systems (ASRS) teams are at the cutting-edge of our technology engineering business. From the design and manufacture of the most state-of-the-art products in the business, to their delivery into our multi-million pound Customer Fulfilment Centres (CFCs) across the globe, our bespoke electrical and mechanical development projects are pushing the boundaries of innovation and automation.
Within ASRS sits our Grid development teams, which exist to deploy bold, stable, innovative products that we fully understand and meet our client and customer needs.
How you’ll spend your days…
As our senior verification engineer, you will support the successful development and release of our range of Grid products. This will include activities such as;

Driving collaboration in order to define and plan the test strategies for hardware products and subsystems within the Grid team.

Provide validation of supplier/design reliability claims through developing and implementing appropriate test strategies.

Identify testing, hardware & resource requirements needed to verify any design changes.

Ensure full implementation of test plans within the agreed schedule.

Manage and drive the product testing, liaising with stakeholders to ensure testing meets schedule.

Use accelerated life testing & stress screening techniques to realise potential weaknesses in design of new products.

Lead/support the identification of root cause and participate in solution generation for issues uncovered during testing.

Design and build test rigs to support design verification and reliability testing.
Our ideal candidate would have;
-
Proven experience in measurement and verification of critical mechanical characteristics e.g. vibration, temperature and fatigue.

Previously developed product verification strategies and defined test activities for mechanical products.

Confidence with technical presentation and analytical skills.
-
Experience managing and interfacing with internal and external personnel associated with product test activities.

A background in data capture, data analysis, statistical analysis, confidence levels and reporting.
This would make you stand out from the crowd;

Previous experience of being accountable for the verification of complex multivariate product or systems.

Knowledge of creating technical content to prove a product’s compliance to a standard or a code and ability to understand and interpret standards regulations and codes.

Understanding of Six Sigma problem methodology.

Developing experiments based on statistical techniques to support innovation projects.

Use of data analytical tools.
